The Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs in Korea founded the Youth Peace Camp to commemorate the sacrifices of the UN Korean War veterans that devoted themselves to defend peace and freedom of Korea. Youth Peace Camp program also hopes to improve relations amongst youths from UN allied nations.
The Peace Camp Program is designed to provide an opportunity for the youth to learn about the contributions their war veteran grandparents had made during the Korean War. The program will help them understand the global significance of the Korean War. In addition, it offers the participants an opportunity to experience Korean society, culture, arts, industry, and technology.
Through the 2018 Youth Peace Camp, participants will be able to build strong relationships with each other, which will contribute to the peace of not only the Korean peninsula, but also of the world.
